How many tries does Mosie take?

Experts suggest trying with Mosie for a minimum of 3 cycles and a maximum of 6 cycles. Mosie, just like all means of conception including IVF and the old-fashioned way, is no guarantee of pregnancy. There are many factors when it comes to trying to conceive, many of which we do not have control over, but with Mosie, we can at least help things get to the right place.

It’s important to note that, according to a study published in the journal Human Reproduction, chances of conceiving increase with attempts! Mosie is also single use only as required by the FDA.

Consult your doctor if timed intercourse or inseminating with the Mosie Baby Kit does not successfully result in a pregnancy within six cycles of trying.

Can I reuse Mosie?

Mosie syringes and cups are single-use only. Mosie, like any syringe, is comprised of moving parts that may become compromised after even a single-use. The rubber stopper specifically (on any syringe) loosens after each use and will eventually become unreliable. The stopper on Mosie (and most syringes) is also very lightly coated with a medically safe lubricant to ensure smooth movement which will likely deteriorate after washing.

You will find that Mosie is not alone here. Most manufacturers discourage using a syringe multiple times. This is exactly why we include two Mosie syringes for home insemination and two Mosie semen collection cups in every kit. More tries translates into better odds for conception!

Do I need to wash Mosie before using it?

The Mosie Baby Kit has been rigorously tested and manufactured in a certified clean room. The FDA Cleared Mosie Baby Kit arrives ready to use.

Do not wash prior to use as water can hurt sperm.

Can I use Mosie with fresh and cryogenically frozen sperm?

Yes! Mosie can be used with either fresh or thawed cryogenically frozen sperm.

How long can sperm live in the cup?

We suggest inseminating within one hour of sample collection. For optimal use, use your sample within 15 minutes of collection.

How do I know when to inseminate?

Use your first Mosie Syringe and cup at your first sign of ovulation. See our "When to Inseminate" calendar above for more information.

Who can Mosie help with insemination?

Since 2015, Mosie has helped over 100,000 people from all walks of life inseminate including hetero couples, lgbtq+ couples, single parents by choice, people who are looking for an alternative to intercourse, and folks using a surrogate.

Do not use The Mosie Baby Kit if you or your sperm source have been diagnosed with no sperm in semen (azoospermia), blocked Fallopian tubes or have no Fallopian tubes, a sexually transmissible disease, virus, or infection (including active herpes, hepatitis, HIV), or if you do not ovulate. Do not use if it is unsafe for you to become pregnant or unsafe for you to have sex. Do not use the Mosie Baby Kit if you are unsure if you have any of these conditions or if you do not know if it is unsafe for you to become pregnant.

Consult your doctor if timed intercourse is not working, or if using the Mosie Baby Kit does not successfully result in a pregnancy within six months of trying.

Is the Mosie Baby Kit FDA Cleared?

Yes! The groundbreaking Mosie Baby Kit for at-home insemination is the first and only intravaginal insemination kit cleared for over the counter use by the FDA. Mosie is a prescription free device for use with fresh or donor sperm when trying to conceive.

FDA 510(k) Clearance provides you with additional confidence that the Mosie Baby Kit has been extensively tested and determined by the FDA to be substantially equivalent to a device used for intrauterine insemination (IUI). FDA Clearance is now the requirement for all devices for at-home insemination - and Mosie Baby is the first and only device with FDA clearance for intravaginal insemination.

How do I use my FSA/HSA to purchase?
